NOVEMBER FIREFIGHTER OF THE MONTH
Firefighter-Driver Tony Sessions, 39, a veteran of the department with over 12 years was nominated by his Captain to be Firefighter of the Month for November because in all the years he has worked with Sessions he has always had a good attitude, conducted himself in a professional manner and is a great asset to the Mobile Fire-Rescue Department.
When his Captain was recently promoted to his new position and assigned to the truck that Sessions drives, Sessions helped him adjust to his new position and understanding the new crew members he would be supervising.
Sessions is considered one of the best drivers in the department. He knows his equipment, the run area and assists not only his Captain but also the District Chief that is housed in the same station. Sessions also does an excellent job of filling in as Acting Captain. He doesn’t have to be told what needs to be done he acts on it instinctively. He does all this with great attitude.
Sessions was presented the award by the Pleasant Valley Opportunity Club which sponsors the Firefighter of the Month program.
