Steve Huffman Public Information Officer (251) 208-2857/Fax: (251) 208-2861 E-Mail: huffman@cityofmobile.org VACANT HOUSE DAMAGED BY FIRE A reportedly recently vacated rental house located at 2313 Sybel Drive was damaged by fire on Thursday evening, February 18. The fire was reported at approximately 8:13 p.m. with firefighters reporting heavy fire and smoke showing from the roof of the one-story block framed structure upon arrival. The fire appears to have originated in the den area and appears to have been intentionally set. The fire remains under investigation and damage is estimated at $61 thousand. No injuries were reported. Engines 6, 19, 22, truck 24, rescue 6 and District Chief Johnny Morris responded. The Bureau of Fire Prevention is investigating the fire. ###
