At approximately 22:59 hours, Mobile Fire-Rescue Department companies were dispatched to the 600 block of Dauphin Island Parkway for reports of smoke and flames visible from a residential structure. Upon arrival on scene, crews confirmed heavy flames reaching through the roof of a single-story, wood-frame dwelling.
The fire was reported successfully extinguished at approximately 23:47 hours, with a detailed search of the property yielding all-clear results. No injuries were reported from the incident.
The cause of the fire is under ongoing investigation.
