Steve Huffman Public Information Officer (251) 208-2857/Fax: (251) 208-2861 E-Mail: huffman@cityofmobile.org NATIONAL PUBLIC SAFETY TELECOMMUNICATORS WEEK APRIL 10-16, 2011 They're called the first responders of first responders and Public Safety Officials will hold a news conference on Monday, April 11 at 11 a.m. at the Mobile County Communications District, also known as the 911 Center located at 7340 Zeigler Boulevard to kick off National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week in Mobile and to recognize the job they do each day and night. They are the Public Safety Dispatchers that take the 9-1-1 calls and work for fire-rescue, law enforcement, and EMS agencies in the City of Mobile, Mobile County and other Municipalities. This week we honor the men and woman who are the first person that a caller with an emergency encounters. ###
