Steve Huffman Public Information Officer (251) 208-2857/Fax: (251) 208-2861 E-Mail: huffman@cityofmobile.org MOTEL FIRE DETERMINED TO BE INTENTIONAL Investigators with Mobile Fire-Rescue Department have determined the fire this morning at the Best Western Battleship Inn to have been intentionally set. Investigators discovered recovered evidence to indicate the fire was intentionally set. The fire was reported at approximately 5:21 Friday morning from an electronic alarm. Investigators are questioning a male subject but no formal charges have been made. Because the motel was occupied at the time of the fire person(s) responsible would be charged with Arson 1st degree. ###
