Steve Huffman Public Information Officer (251) 208-2857/Fax: (251) 208-2861 E-Mail: huffman@cityofmobile.org MOBILE FIRE-RESCUE TO MAKE CANCER RESEARCH DONATION Mayor Sandy Stimpson and Mobile Fire-Rescue officials will be distributing over $11 thousand in donations to several area cancer research programs and/or treatments centers at the Mobile City Council meeting on Tuesday, January 13, 2015. The donations are made possible through the Mobile Fire-Rescue Department’s annual “Pink Heals: Fighting for a Cure for Cancer” T-Shirt sales. This is the fifth year the department has been doing the fund raiser which is held during the month of October. The organizations that will be receiving donations are as follows: USA Children’s and Women’s Hospital - $500 USAMC - $500 Breast Friends Forever - $500 American Cancer Society - $500 Project Faith Cancer Group - $1200 Providence Hospital Breast Cancer - $1000 Springhill Hospital Cancer Center - $1350 USA-Mitchell Cancer Institute - $5500 ###
