Mobile Fire-Rescue Donates
Trucks to Theodore Volunteers
Mobile, AL – On the heels of a shift in jurisdictional response, which became effective on September 1st, the Mobile Fire-Rescue Department donated 3 trucks (2 command vehicles, 1 E-One engine) to the Theodore Volunteer Fire Department. As a part of the newly adopted jurisdiction plan, Mobile Fire-Rescue has reduced its response in the Theodore jurisdiction. The shift allows MFRD to focus on responses within the Mobile city limits while also bettering Theodore’s volunteer fire department to respond in the Theodore area.
Following through with the plan to help Theodore strengthen its fire department, Mobile Fire-Rescue removed the vehicles from auction and provided them to an appreciative Theodore department on Wednesday afternoon. After having recently purchased a new engine in efforts to strengthen their fleet, the Theodore Volunteer Fire Department accepted today’s donation with excitement for the future of their department. Mobile Fire-Rescue and Theodore Volunteer Fire departments foster strong bonds, mutual aid, and amicable working relationships in efforts to continue providing quality services to the Mobile area.
