Steve Huffman Public Information Officer (251) 208-2857/Fax: (251) 208-2861 E-Mail: huffman@cityofmobile.org MOBILE FIRE INVESTIGATORS ARREST JUVENILE Investigators with the Mobile Fire-Rescue Department arrested a 17-year-old female juvenile with a mental handicap at B.C Rain High School on Friday, February 1 and charged her with Attempt Arson 1st Degree, a Class B Felony. The incident occurred at approximately 8:28 a.m. The juvenile purchased gasoline went to the school and poured a trail of the flammable liquid up to the building. She then proceeded to strike a match, at which time a teacher saw her, the match went out and the teacher held the juvenile female until Mobile Police arrived. MPD requested Investigators from Mobile Fire-Rescue to respond to the scene at which time they made the arrest. She was taken to Strickland Youth Center. No injuries were reported and no damage occurred. ###
