John H. Campbell Sr. Way Residential Fire

12:50 p.m. — Mobile Fire-Rescue Department units were dispatched at about 12:32 p.m. for a report of a residential fire in the 1400 block of John H. Campbell Sr. Way in Mobile, Alabama, Saturday, November 2, 2024.

Engine 3 arrived on scene first, noting flames visible from a single-story, wood frame residence and began fire suppression efforts.

Other personnel arrived on scene and assisted with extinguishing the fire and searching for any victims inside, with none found.

The fire was quickly knocked down. Crews will be on scene for some time to extinguish all hotspots, and to investigate the origin and cause of the fire.
