Steve Huffman Public Information Officer (251) 208-7163/Cell: (251) 605-0984 E-Mail: huffman@cityofmobile.org HOUSE FIRE ROTTERDAM COURT Mobile firefighters were called to a fire on Rotterdam Court at approximately 2:43 a.m. Thursday, August 10. When firefighters arrived at the single story, wood frame structure they reported flames visible. Firefighters were able to quickly bring the fire under control. Preliminary investigation indicates the structure was vacant for some time. It appears the fire had been deliberately set based on evidence at the scene. No injuries were reported and the fire did an estimated $10 thousand in damage. Anyone with information regarding the fire is asked to call the arson unit at 208-6373 or 2018-7311. Engine 2, 9, 16, Squad 11; Truck 24; Rescue 24 and District Chief LeAnn Tacon responded. The Mobile Fire-Rescue Arson Unit is conducting the investigation. ###
