Steve Huffman Public Information Officer (251) 208-2857/Fax: (251) 208-2861 E-Mail: huffman@cityofmobile.org FIRE INVESTIGATORS CHARGE MOBILE MAN WITH ARSON Mobile Fire-Rescue Department Investigators arrested David Collins, Jr, 24, Thursday, July 31 and charged him with Arson 1st after he confessed to setting two separate fires in an apartment he was renting. The fires occurred at Cabana Apartments located at 3800 Michael Blvd on July 18th and 27th. The first fire occurred on Friday, July 18, caused minimal damage and was not reported to Mobile Fire-Rescue Department. The second fire occurred on Sunday, July 27 at approximately 1:28 p.m. That fire caused an estimated $5,500 in damage. No injuries were reported in either of the fires. ###
