Steve Huffman Public Information Officer (251) 208-7163/Fax: (251) 208-5843 E-Mail: huffman@cityofmobile.org FIRE AT CLUB ELEGANCE DETERMINED TO BE INTENTIONAL Mobile Fire-Rescue Investigators have determined the fire that occurred at Club Elegance, located at 208 North Lafayette Street, was intentionally set. The fire was reported at approximately 5:44 a.m. Monday morning, July 11. Firefighters encountered heavy smoke showing from the single story, brick structure upon arrival. Investigators found evidence that indicated the fire was intentionally set and may have been burglarized. Damage is estimated at approximately $350 thousand. No injuries were reported. Anyone with information pertaining to the fire is asked to contact the MFRD Investigation Unit at 251-402-4407. ATF is assisting with the investigation.
