E Z Auto Finance Commercial Building Fire

MOBILE, Ala. – At approximately 14:41 hours, Mobile Fire-Rescue Department crews were dispatched to the 7100 block of Airport Blvd for reports of a commercial building on fire in the area. Fire personnel arrived at the E Z Auto Finance, LLC to discover flames and thick, black smoke engulfing the single-story structure.

Fire scene operations were established, as fire suppression teams connected to a nearby water source and extended 1 ¾” hose lines to begin their initial fire attack. Search teams performed a thorough sweep of the interior of the business, discovering no occupants trapped or down inside.

Firefighters were able to successfully extinguish all signs of fire within approximately 25 minutes of arriving on scene. The structure was immediately ventilated of toxic smoke and heated gases.

No injuries were sustained during the incident. A preliminary investigation into the cause of origin remains undetermined as the investigation continues.
