MOBILE, Ala. – At approximately 13:55 hours, Mobile Fire-Rescue Department personnel responded to the 1500 block of Driftwood Drive North for a residential structure presenting with smoke visible. Crews discovered fire at the rear-exterior of the residence, which quickly extended to the roof.
The occupants were not home at the time of the incident. A thorough search of the interior of the single-story structure yielded no victims. All sources of fire were quickly extinguished with no reported injuries.
Fire Investigators determined the cause of the fire to have been set intentionally. Throughout the course of the investigation, Jeremy Watson was arrested and charged with Arson 2nd.
