The Mobile Fire-Rescue Department proudly announces Firefighter Damonique M. Evans as the July 2023 Firefighter of the Month. Firefighter Evans began her fire service career in September 2021. She is currently assigned as a Paramedic to Rescue 23 on 2nd shift.
Firefighter Evans is the epitome of a great first responder. She represents the City of Mobile and the Mobile Fire-Rescue Department with the highest levels of courtesy, charm, and professionalism. As a Paramedic Firefighter, Evans has always taken pride in the work that she does and the patient care that she provides. Treating every patient as though they were her own family, Evans not only provides quality care but also delivers the utmost respect and dignity deserving of all citizens.
Firefighter Evans is consistently a hard worker, devoting particular attention to the details in every task. She regularly aids the department in recruitment, and mentors the Department’s lesser experienced firefighters. Whether performing duties around the station, providing aid at an emergency scene, in the gym, or in her off time, Evans commits fully her energy, attention, and heart. No matter how small or tall the task, her attitude, quality of work, and work ethic are second to none.
