CHILD STRUCK-PINNED UNDER VEHICLE
At approximately 2:39 p.m. Tuesday, March 17, Mobile Fire-Rescue technical rescue team was dispatched to the report of a child struck and pinned underneath a vehicle at Phillips Preparatory School located at 3255 Old Shell Rd.
Engine 12 arrived first and found the approximately 11-12 year old female in the grassy area in front of the school pinned underneath the vehicle.
When the technical rescue team arrived they deployed air bags under both sides of the vehicle to free the young girl. She was removed, treated on scene and transported to USAMC with what appears to be non-life threatening injuries.
Engine 12, 8; truck 17; technical rescue 25; squad 1; rescue 18 and District Chief John Young responded to the call.
