Steve Huffman Public Information Officer (251) 208-2857/Fax: (251) 208-2861 E-Mail: huffman@cityofmobile.org MOBILE FIRE-RESCUE CAREER EXPO The Mobile Fire-Rescue Department is hosting a CAREER EXPO for those 18 years of age or older, who are interested in a career in the fire service. The event, a first of its kind in Mobile, will be held on Saturday, June 28 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the Mobile Fire-Rescue Training Academy located at 860 Owens Street (across from the animal shelter). Participants will go through several hands on job performance stations and will be introduced to the Candidate Physical Ability Test (CPAT) which is a pre-requisite to apply for the firefighter position. A representative from the Mobile County Personnel Board will be onsite to answer any application questions. Although this is not an offer of employment, it is the first step towards becoming eligible to take the Firefighter entrance exam.
