11:41 a.m. — Mobile Fire-Rescue Department units were dispatched at 9:26 a.m. for a report of a residential fire on Louisiane Drive in Mobile, Alabama, Thursday, November 21, 2024.
Units arrived to find heavy, dark smoke coming from the rear of a single-story, brick veneer structure. A neighbor who had been told the home was on fire had already entered and pulled a female from inside to the lawn. She was transported by MFRD to a local hospital.
Crews entered the residence to extinguish the fire and do a primary and secondary search to see if any other people were inside the structure. The searches were all clear.
Personnel are still on scene to ensure all hotspots are extinguished. The fire remains under investigation
