Residential Fire
Mobile, AL – Mobile Fire-Rescue companies responded to the 400 block of Lexington Avenue for reports of flames visible from the 2nd story of a residential home. At approximately 14:51 hours, fire personnel were dispatched and quickly arrived on scene to confirm heavy flames visible from the family dwelling.
Crews were able to extinguish flames and clear the structure of toxic smoke and heated gases. The occupants were able to safely evacuate the home prior to MFRD arrival on scene. The property owner attests their safety to a helpful neighbor who notified the family of visible flames in the upstairs portion of the house.
Investigators are on scene to determine a cause for the fire. Further investigation is pending.
