Steve Huffman Public Information Officer (251) 208-2857/Fax: (251) 208-2861 E-Mail: huffman@cityofmobile.org HOUSE FIRE MCLEOD ROAD Firefighters responded to a house fire Saturday evening, January 8, located at 9336 McLeod Road. The initial call was received at approximately 6:47 p.m. Firefighters reported heavy fire in the single story structure upon arrival. The occupants were not home at the time of the fire. The house was under going extensive renovations prior to the fire and the cause is currently under investigation. Damage was extensive causing total destruction and an estimated damage estimate of $75 thousand. No injuries were reported. The Bureau of Fire Prevention is investigating the cause. Engines 6, 18, 22, 29; truck 5; rescue 29 and District Chief David Rose responded. Theodore Volunteer Fire Department also responded to the call. ###
