Steve Huffman Public Information Officer (251) 208-2857/Fax: (251) 208-2861 E-Mail: huffman@cityofmobile.org HOUSE FIRE LAKESIDE DRIVE Mobile firefighters responded to a house fire located at 2900 Lakeside Drive, Friday morning, April 8. The call was received at approximately 11:40 a.m. and firefighters reported heavy fire and smoke coming from the side of the house upon arriving on the scene. The fire appears to have originated in a front bedroom and started as a result of an electrical problem. The owner/occupant was not home at the time of the fire. Damage is estimated at approximately $150 thousand to the structure and contents. No injuries were reported. Engines 1, 15, 26; truck 10; rescue 26; water tanker 36 and District Chief David Rose responded. The Bureau of Fire Prevention is investigating. ###
