Steve Huffman Public Information Officer (251) 208-2857/Fax: (251) 208-2861 E-Mail: huffman@cityofmobile.org HOUSE FIRE FOREST LANE Mobile Fire Investigators are still on the scene attempting to determine the cause of a fire that occurred in a two-story, wood frame, residential structure located at 2053 Forest Lane. The fire occurred today, Saturday, April 9. The first 9-1-1 called was received at approximately 12:16 p.m. When firefighters arrived they reported heavy fire and smoke coming from the first and second floor windows of the structure, as well as from the attic. No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire and damage estimate will be provided once investigators complete their investigation. There is no time line as to when that will be. Engines 9, 16, 20; truck 17; rescue 24 and District Chief Elbert Cross responded. The Bureau of Fire Prevention is conducting the investigation. ###
