Guns and Hoses Blood Drive

Mobile Firefighters vs. Mobile Police, competing in the first Annual Guns and Hoses Blood Drive and in the meantime a critical need for blood can be met for the Mobile area. Starting Sunday, December 28th through Tuesday, December 30th the City of Mobile Police and Fire-Rescue Departments will be competing to see which organization can collect the most units of blood. LifeSouth Community Blood Center will be set up inside police headquarters from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. and members of the Mobile Fire-Rescue Department will be going to LifeSouth’s headquarters located at 967 Hillcrest Road from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. The public is encouraged and welcome to come and support the organization of their choice. All donors will receive a special design Guns and Hoses t-shirt, along with lunch and snacks. The winning organization will receive a Guns and Hoses trophy! LifeSouth Community Blood Center is your community blood supplier which means all blood collected here stays here. LifeSouth is the blood bank for: Providence Hospital, Springhill Medical Center, USA Medical Center, USA Children’s and Women’s, Infirmary West, Mobile Infirmary Medical Center in Mobile County and North Baldwin Infirmary and Thomas Hospital in Baldwin County. LifeSouth started collecting blood in the two counties in October 2007. ###
