2:10 p.m. — Mobile Fire-Rescue Department units were dispatched at about 12:44 p.m. for a report of a residential fire in the 1700 block of Griffin Street in the Trinity Gardens area of Mobile, Alabama, Tuesday, March 18, 2025.
Engine 14 arrived on scene and reported flames visible from the rear corner of the single-story, wood frame home.
As others arrived on scene, crews entered the structure to find the fire and began suppression efforts while searching for any victims inside. No one was found inside.
The fire had extended into the attic, so they gained access and extinguished the fire.
Personnel are still on scene at this time, making sure all hotspots are completely extinguished. There were no reports of any injuries in the incident. The fire is under investigation at this time.
Districts 1 and 3 chiefs, Engines 14, 18, 21, 8, and 23, Truck 17, Rescue 23, and Rehab 1 were dispatched to the call.
