Steve Huffman Public Information Officer (251) 208-5806/Fax: (251) 208-5813 E-Mail: huffman@cityofmobile.org FOLLOW UP ON OLD DOBBIN DRIVE FIRE Fire Investigators have completed their investigation into the cause of an early morning fire located at 2605 Old Dobbin Drive, East, that sent one man to a local hospital with injuries. The fire originated in the kitchen of the one-story, wood frame with brick veneer structure and was reported at approximately 1:16 a.m. Friday morning, May 20, 2005. Mobile Fire Investigators have determined that the occupant was cooking fries prior to the start of the fire. The victim believed to be in his 40's received 2nd and 3rd degree burns to his face, hands and arms as well as multiple deep cuts during the course of his escape. He went to a neighbor's house to get help. When firefighters arrived they discovered heavy fire coming from the side of the structure where the kitchen is located. ###
