Steve Huffman Public Information Officer (251) 208-2857/Fax: (251) 208-2861 E-Mail: huffman@cityofmobile.org FIRE DESTROYS DOUBLE WIDE MOBILE HOME Callers reported hearing multiple explosions early Friday morning February 19 in the area of 5119 Gunn Road and what appeared to be the woods on fire. The first call was received at approximately 12:41 a.m. and when firefighters arrived on the scene they discovered a double wide mobile home with only partial walls and floor remaining and fully involved with fire. The cause of the fire remains under investigation at this time and caused an estimated $55 thousand in damage. No injuries were reported. Engines 6, 7, 20 truck 5, rescue 6 and District Chief Johnny Morris responded. Theodore Volunteer Fire Department also responded. The fire is being investigated by the Bureau of Fire Prevention. ###
