Driftwood Drive North Residential Fire

11:16 p.m. — Dispatchers sent a full fire response to the 1500 block of Driftwood Drive North at 10:45 p.m. for a report of a residential fire in Mobile, Alabama, Friday night, January 24, 2025.

Engine 20 arrived on scene quickly and noted a residence that was fully involved. As other personnel arrived on scene, firefighters worked to extinguish any fire and to search for any victims inside.

Incident command declared that the fire was under control and that primary and secondary searches were all clear. As of 11:15 p.m., crews were still on scene extinguishing any remaining hotspots. The fire is under investigation at this time.

Districts 1 and 2 Chiefs, Engines 20, 16, 9 and 2, Truck 24, Rescue 24, and Car 80, and Rehab 1 were dispatched.
