Mobile Fire-Rescue Department units were dispatched at about 11:48 a.m. to the 1700 block of Doctor Thomas Avenue for a report of a residential fire.
Units arrived on scene to a fully-involved debris pile and half-demolished vacant wood frame house.
Firefighters established a water supply from a nearby hydrant and began to extinguish the fire. Crews also searched to make sure no one was inside.
After controlling the fire, an initial survey investigation was completed. Crews then extinguished hotspots, ensuring the debris and remaining structure were completely out.
There were no reports of any injuries. The fire is under investigation at this time.
