Steve Huffman Public Information Officer (251) 208-5806/Fax: (251) 208-5813 E-Mail: huffman@cityofmobile.org DISASTER DRILL TO BE CONDUCTED AT BATTLEHOUSE The Mobile Fire-Rescue Department's Training Division will be conducting a fire training exercise at the Battlehouse Hotel in downtown Mobile on Monday, February 14, 2005. The drill is scheduled to begin at approximately 11:30 a.m. and will last approximately 1 1/2 hours. Theatrical smoke will be used to make the training more realistic. There will be fire equipment on the scene and firefighters will use ladder trucks to reach upper floors as they would in a real fire situation. Citizens traveling in area should be made aware that parts of Royal Street will be closed off during this exercise. ###
