Mobile Fire-Rescue Department (MFRD) firefighters and paramedics were dispatched to the area of Congress and Broad Streets for a report of a vehicle fire threatening a structure at about 10:49 p.m. Wednesday night, January 29, 2025.
Firefighters arrived on scene at 905 Congress to find a burning vehicle crashed into the corner of a warehouse. The fire had spread to the structure.
A man was immediately transported by MFRD ambulance to a local hospital from the scene. Firefighters immediately began to extinguish the vehicle fire as personnel also entered the building and quickly stopped the fire from spreading.
Crews remained on scene to help clear smoke from the building. The fire is under investigation at this time.
Districts 1 and 3 Chiefs, Engines 3, 2, 9 and 8, Truck 4, Rescues 3 and 8, Rehab 1 and Cars 68 and 80 responded to the scene.
