Bowman Court Residential Fire

Mobile Fire-Rescue Department firefighters were dispatched to the 1900 block of Bowman Court for a report of a residential fire at about 11:55 a.m. Friday morning, January 24, 2025, in Mobile, Alabama.

Engine 20 arrived on scene and noted that heavy smoke and flames were visible from the side of a single-story wood frame residence. The occupant had evacuated the home.

Crews immediately deployed hoselines to quickly extinguish the fire as searches for anyone inside were conducted. No one was found. Firefighters extinguished any remaining hotspots.

An investigation found the fire was accidental, ignited by an electrical issue.

Districts 1 and 2 Chiefs, Engines 20, 16,  2, and 9, Truck 24, Rescue 24, Car 80, and Rehab 1 were dispatched to the fire. There were no reports of any injuries.
