Jon W. Jarrard was arrested Monday afternoon, May 20, 2024, and charged with second-degree arson in connection with a residential fire earlier this month. Mobile Fire-Rescue Department and Mobile Police Department made the arrest.
On May 8, MFRD was dispatched for a report of smoke coming from a residence in the 3000 block of Fendley Avenue in Mobile, Alabama.
Upon arrival, firefighters noted heavy smoke was visible from the eaves of a single-story, brick home. Crews entered the house and extinguished the fire, and checked for any victims inside the residence, but didn’t locate anyone.
