Steve Huffman Public Information Officer (251) 208-2857/Fax: (251) 208-2861 E-Mail: huffman@cityofmobile.org ALABAMA TASK FORCE ONE USAR TEAM CONDUCTING DRILL Alabama Task Force One (AL-TF1) Urban, Search and Rescue Team (USAR) is currently conducting a mobilization and preparedness drill at the USAR Warehouse on Museum Drive next to Springhill Fire Station 18 (700 Museum Drive) until noon. The drill is being conducted in preparation for the upcoming hurricane season. The objectives of the drill are: • Evaluate the ability of AL-TF1 to conduct notifications during a planned event in accordance with the Mobilization Plan. • Evaluate the ability of AL-TF1 to conduct a full scale mobilization of a Type I Team in accordance with the Mobilization Plan. • Evaluate the ability of AL-TF1 to conduct a load out of the cache within accordance with the Load Plan. • Evaluate the coordination of Plans and Logs during the MobEx in accordance with the Mobilization Plan. ###
