Firestone Commercial Building Fire
Mobile, AL – At approximately 7:03 hours on Sunday, October 28th, Mobile Fire-Rescue Department crews were dispatched to Firestone Complete Auto Care at 6417 Airport Boulevard, as employees reported smoke visible inside of the business. Upon arrival on scene, crews advised “heavy smoke visible,” and immediately called for a second alarm response, as they were reportedly unable to see the commercial structure due to the abundance of smoke at the scene. Mobile Fire-Rescue maintained approximately 12 units on scene for suppression, manpower, command, rehabilitation, and investigation.
The fire was successfully extinguished without any reported injuries. The cause of the fire has been ruled accidental, stemming from an on-site storage room.
