Homeless Programs
Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG)
The Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) is used to provide assistance to the homeless and those at-risk of being homeless. The purpose of the ESG program is to assist individuals and families to quickly regain stability in permanent housing after experiencing a housing crisis or homelessness. The City of Mobile provides ESG funds to non-profit organizations with 501c(3) tax exemption status. These organizations provide street outreach and emergency shelter services to the homeless population.
