Mayor Stimpson releases “Scorecard” for first 100 Day Agenda
Mobile, Ala. — At the start of his third term in office, Mobile Mayor Sandy Stimpson released an ambitious 100 Day agenda that his administration has accomplished much of over the past four months.
The 100 Day Agenda and the 1,000 Day Framework for Mayor Stimpson’s third term in office are focused on seven key areas — Protect Mobile, Grow Mobile, Hire Mobile, Connect Mobile, Enjoy Mobile, Visit Mobile and Ready Mobile.
Since November, nearly 80 percent of the 125 milestone goals laid out in the 100 Day Agenda have been achieved, with several others on the verge of completion. The plan included improvements to city services, the creation of new offices, events and programming, and substantial progress on major projects aimed at improving Mobile’s roadways, parks, and public spaces. It also included several new tools to help citizens and local businesses engage with the City of Mobile more easily and efficiently.
“We launched a highly visible campaign at the start of this term to showcase all the work that goes on across Mobile every day and to hold this administration accountable to the public,” Stimpson said. “Our staff took on more than 120 initiatives, and while a few aren’t fully completed, they all remain priorities. I can’t say enough about the City employees, government and community partners and individual Mobilians who’ve helped us move these things forward. All their work has allowed us to build and sustain the momentum we’re carrying with us into the Next 100 Days of this term.”
