Press Alert: No Roadside Trash Collection on Martin Luther King Jr. Day Holiday

Mobile, Ala. – In observance of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day, the City of Mobile will not collect roadside trash on Monday, January 20, and the city's recycling centers will be closed.

The makeup day for roadside trash pickup will be Saturday, January 25. There will be no impact on household garbage collection, as garbage does not run on Mondays.

All services will resume normal operations on Tuesday, January 21. If there are changes due to the weather, those will be shared later. A complete 2025 Sanitation Holiday schedule is available at https://www.cityofmobile.org/public-works/sanitation-holiday-schedule/.
