Mobile, Ala. — The City of Mobile is once again bringing local financial experts together to help connect Mobilians to available resources and strengthen their personal finances.

Our Office of Supplier Diversity and Community Affairs Department are excited to host another “Money Moves Bootcamp” for interested community members on Saturday, Aug. 3, from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the National Maritime Museum of the Gulf of Mexico. This event is tailor-made for anyone wanting to learn more about improving their finances, starting a new business, building up or repair their credit score or connecting to local financial resources.

The Aug. 3 bootcamp will bring local experts together to share pertinent information on credit repair and building, homeownership, money-saving, and more. Credit and consumer counselors will be on-site, and local professionals will offer guidance for those planning to start a business, seeking financial independence or planning for major purchases like a first home. This event is made possible thanks to local partners like Bank On Alabama, Bishop State Community College and the Strikers Club Inc.

The “Money Moves Bootcamp” on Saturday, Aug. 3, is free to the public, but space is limited. Participants can pre-register today by clicking here. If you have questions or need more information, please contact Supplier Diversity Manager Archnique Kidd at archnique.kidd@cityofmobile.org.

For media members: We are happy to coordinate interviews with staff ahead of the Aug. 3 event.
