“The Grand Jury’s decision is an important step in the judicial process. This process ensures everyone is treated equally under the law and it should be respected. It is also not the final step as the Department of Justice is continuing to investigate the case to determine if there were any Civil Rights violations.

The fact is a young life was lost far too early. No family should have to deal with that heartbreak and our thoughts and prayers remain with the family of Michael Moore.

This is a time for us all to come together and focus our energies on what we can do to ensure better outcomes for our youth, communities and city.”
