Mobile City Council's Administrative Services Committee to discuss board governance

Mobile, AL – The Mobile City Council’s Administrative Services Committee will discuss board governance at its Tuesday, December 6 meeting.
The meeting will focus on the number of boards in the city and which boards are functional.
Councilman William Carroll chairs this committee and is joined by Vice President Gina Gregory, District 7 and Councilman Scott Jones, District 6.
The meeting will occur in the City Council’s conference room on the 9th floor of the South Tower in Government Plaza at 1 p.m. The meeting will be a work session for the Council, and no public comments will be taken.
Tuesday, December 20, the City Council will hold its final regular meeting of the year at the History Museum of Mobile at 10:30 a.m. Once a year, a Council meeting is held at the museum (the old City Hall) to consistently carry on the tradition of having met in this location since its opening in 1858. The City Hall on Royal Street is one of the oldest continuously used sites of city government existing in America. The pre-council meeting will begin at 9:00 a.m. in the Council Conference Room on the 9th floor of the South Tower in Government Plaza.
The City Council will not meet the following Tuesday, December 27 and will resume regular meetings at 10:30 a.m. in the Government Plaza auditorium on January 3, 2023.
