Mobile City Council to conduct interviews for two full-time municipal judge positions

The Mobile City Council will conduct interviews to fill (2) full time positions for municipal judge in the City of Mobile Municipal Court.
Prospective applicants must be members of the Alabama State Bar (in good standing) and must meet the requirements of Alabama Code Title 12, Chapter 14, and Chapter 38 of the City of Mobile Municipal Code.
Applicants must submit eight (8) copies of their resume with a cover letter. Resumes must be submitted to the City Clerk by 4:00 p.m. on July 26, 2022. Resumes received after that time will not be accepted.

The City Council will conduct interviews on August 2, 2022, from 1:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. Selected applicants will be required to undergo a background check through the NCIC and must consent to the Alabama State Bar providing information on the applicant’s disciplinary record.
Salary information:
- Full-time: $140,000 per year
Full-time judges are eligible to participate in the City of Mobile’s retirement plan and programs and any other City employee benefit programs on the same basis as other City employees.
