Key Committees to Meet Next Week

The City Council will hold two key committee meetings next week to discuss proposed ordinances.
Monday, February 8th
The Finance Committee will meet at 9:00 a.m. to discuss a proposed ordinance to amend Chapter 34 of the City Code to include real property business privilege tax applicable to lessors of residential buildings and dwellings to the schedule of licenses. Councilman Joel Daves is chair of the committee and is joined on it by Councilmen Fred Richardson and John Williams. A copy of this proposed ordinance can be found HERE.
Tuesday, February 9th
The Administrative Services Committee will meet at 2:00 p.m. to discuss a proposed ordinance to amend Chapter 64 of the City Code to create Chapter 65 relating to Urban Forestry, the Mobile Tree Commission and tree protection and management. Councilwoman Gina Gregory, who chairs the committee, is joined on it by Councilwoman Bess Rich and Councilman Fred Richardson. A copy of that ordinance can be found HERE.
