Key Committees to take up Proposals on Food Trucks, Short Term Rentals and Tethering Dogs

The City Council will hold the following committee meetings on key issues in the coming weeks:
Tuesday, January 5th
The Administrative Services Committee will meet at 2:00 p.m. to discuss the proposed revised ordinance to address short-term lodging or rentals within the city limits and a proposed companion zoning amendment. Citizens can view the proposals HERE. The ordinance is sponsored by Councilwomen Bess Rich and Gina Gregory along with Council President Levon Manzie. Councilwoman Gina Gregory, who chairs the committee, is joined on it by Councilwoman Bess Rich and Councilman Fred Richardson.
Tuesday, January 12th
The Finance Committee will meet immediately following the Council meeting to discuss a proposed ordinance addressing food trucks. A copy of the previously proposed ordinance is available HERE. Councilman Joel Daves is chair of the committee and is joined on it by Councilmen Fred Richardson and John Williams.
Tuesday, January 19th
The Public Safety Committee will meet immediately following the Council meeting to discuss a proposed ordinance regarding the tethering of dogs. The proposed ordinance can be reviewed HERE.
