MLK Day Of Service

Event Details: Join Mobile United's Natural Resources Task Force and the Mobile City Council for an outdoor day of service on Saturday, January 18, 2025. This MLK Day of Service clean-up hosts one site in each of the seven city council districts. The purpose of the event is to honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. by inspiring citizens to give back to the community. We are encouraging the public to participate in a district close to them (site locations and partners are listed below), or to visit another part of the city altogether! Participation is free, but pre-registration below is strongly encouraged. Check-in starts at 8:30 a.m. and the cleanup will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 11 a.m. The seven sites include: District 1- Holloway Elementary, 625 Stanton Road, 36617 Councilman Penn, Love Your Community & Keep Mobile Beautiful District 2- Pause Lounge and Grill, 1305 Congress St, 36603 Councilman Carroll & Mobile Baykeeper District 3- McNally Park, 4380 Park Road, 36605 Councilman Small & Peninsula of Mobile District 4- PFC Howard Johnson II Park, 2661 Atoll Drive, 36605 Councilman Reynolds & Mobile Bay National Estuary Program District 5- Wal-Mart, 101 E.
